Creation of a transit-oriented development in downtown Lake Worth that enhances the existing Tri-Rail Station and integrates new passenger stations for the FEC corridor. The plan also provides redevelopment of the downtown area:

  • Increase transportation mobility for all modes of transportation
  • FEC passenger train station at heart of downtown at Lake Avenue and secondary park-and-ride station at 10th Avenue North
  • Transit village around existing Tri-Rail station
  • Modify roundabout at Lucerne Avenue and North A Street to increase safety
  • Arts district along FEC south of Lake Avenue
  • Retail/redevelopment along North Dixie Highway
  • Park of Commerce as economic engine for city
  • Stabilize residential neighborhoods
  • New city hall and public plaza
